(Invited Event) Lipizzaner Almabtrieb

Köflach and Maria Lankowitz, downtown, starting at 10 a.m. – mid-afternoon
Members Heidi B. and Astrid W. let us know about this wonderful event for the whole family. The Lipizzaner stallions will be brought down from the ‘alm’ (mountain meadows) in a traditional procession. The events in the main squares of these cities will feature food, music, activities for children, and – of course – glimpses of the famous horses!
10 a.m. (Köflach main square) – Festival begins
12:15 p.m. (Gasthof Wiendl, Kemetberg 24, 8591 Maria Lankowitz) – Lipizzaners are decorated with flowers as part of the procession
1 p.m. (Maria Lankowitz main square) – Lipizzaners are blessed
2 p.m. (Köflach main square) – Lipizzaner procession through Köflach main square
